How it Works

Step 1: The Initial Consultation

During our first meeting we will get to know you and get a feel for your vision. We will discuss colour palettes, themes, font styles, monograms, etc. You will have the opportunity to flip through our samples to get a better idea of what is available and what you might be interested in. Feel free to bring in anything that inspires you such as magazine cut-outs, swatches or fabric to name a few. We recommend that your initial consultation with us is about 4-6 months before the wedding so that your invitations will be ready to mail 6-8 weeks before. If you’re having a destination wedding or marrying over a holiday weekend, send out your invites even earlier, 10-12 weeks before. For all other occasions, we recommend at least 2-3 months before the event so they are ready to mail out 4-6 weeks before. We custom hand-make all our invitations so this will allow us enough time to order materials and to assemble your invitations with high quality and craftsmanship.

Step 2: The Sample

Once you have an idea of what you want and all the elements are in place we will put together a sample for you of the invitation style you have chosen. Once the sample is ready we will have you come by the store to take a look. (Please note: A small charge will be applied if you would like to take the sample with you. Once your order is placed, this fee will be deducted from your total balance owing). At this time we will provide you with a price estimate based upon our meeting and discussions. Once you narrow down your invitation style, we will finalize the details by making sure all wording, language, colour and font are perfect and we will have you sign off on the sample before your invitations hit the press. Once a design has been signed off on we cannot make any more changes. At this point in the process a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required. This will allow us to order any materials that are needed for your invitations. Please allow 1-2 weeks for your sample.

Step 3: Printing & Assembling

Once all materials have been ordered and received we will start printing your invitations and hand assembling all your custom layers and affixing the finest embellishments and finishings to them. You will be notified as soon as your invitations are ready. Please allow 2-4 weeks for printing and assembling.

Please note: If items are not ordered within the time period specified, a rush order fee will be applied. A minimum order fee will be applied to any orders that are less than 10 invitations.
